​Señor Travel Bug Mexico - Cancun Tours & Experiences was established by Paul in 2024, inspired by a passion for sharing the very best of this region with our visitors.

 

The vision is that every tourist is able to spend a day, or more, focused on their areas of interest, whether that's Mayan ruins or the many types of coconuts or bananas, and how that varies in each Yucatan village. On top of that, having previously worked as a professional photographer, Paul will take your photos (and those of any wildlife where applicable) as you experience Mexico and share the best of these with you the following day, to accompany your unforgettable memories. While this website offers 'standard tours', we can happily combine any elements into a unique tailor-made day-trip or a journey of several days. Just ask us how!

Why put your trust in Paul and Sseñor Travel Bug Mexico? Paul is a Briton who first came to live in Mexico in 2010 when he met his Mexican wife, and has been living in Playa del Carmen and Cancun since 2020. A lifelong passionate independent traveller, having visited more than 90 countries in six continents over 30 years, Paul has explored all that this region has to offer and can now make recommendations to you.

 

A native English speaker, he graduated from the University of Cambridge in French, German & Russian and has since learned Spanish, the language he speaks at home with his family. Aside from travel and photography, he is a passionate golfer, tennis and football player, has run 10 marathons including five of the majors, cycled for Team GB over 40s, lover of wildlife, interested in history (although he denies it to himself!) and admirer of Volkswagen Beetles.

All tours can be completed in a spacious air-conditioned Audi Q5, if preferred to the Classic VW Beetle, at an additional cost of MXN1,500 for any single day tour.
